How safe are my details? |
All that the people that
you dine with will know about you is your first name.
Your surname, address, phone numbers and any other
information you give us is completely confidential.
It’s up
to you if you want to exchange details with them.

What nights are the
dinners held? |
|
There are regular
dinners held on Saturday Nights which always commence
at 7.30pm. Other nights are added for special occasions
and when requested.

What are the average prices at the restaurants? |
Restaurants
are selected on the basis of value for money and quality
of service. Generally the price range for a main
course is between $18 - $27.

Does each person pay for thir own meal? |
|
Yes, each
person pays for their own food and drink. This is
a great advantage. This allows you to order whatever you
like, a little or a lot, and that's what you pay for.
Some restaurants will give you separate accounts but
this is rare so it is quite easy for each person to put
their amount towards the account.

How do I contact someone
I want to see again? |
|
If there is someone that you would like to meet again
you can exchange details at the dinner if you wish, or
just let us know on the
form and we will contact
that person on your behalf and ask them if it is OK to
pass their phone number on to you, or would they like to
ring you.

What age groups are in
After Eight Dining? |
There is
a broad range of ages however the majority of members
are aged between 28 and 50+
|

How often can I dine out? |
It is up
to you when you would like to dine out. The
average time between dinners is probably best once a
month, however your personal circumstances usually
decide which will make the time either longer or shorter
between dinners.

When can I have my first
dinner? |
Once you
have sent in your application and had an interview a dinner is possible
the same week but it is discussed and arranged with you
at your interview

Can I put my membership
on hold? |
|
Yes, memberships
can be put on hold for up to six months.

How do I pay my
membership? |
|
Memberships are
paid with your Application by credit card or if you
would prefer by direct deposit or cheque to our P.O.Box.6042

Will I always dine with 6 people? |
Although we prefer
and aim for Tables of Six, events beyond our control
happen at the last minute. Rather than disappoint
members confirmed at our table, we may drop back to 4 or
sometimes combine to make up to a table of 8.

At what kind of restaurants do you dine? |
We seek out
upscale, moderately priced, well located
restaurants of good reputation. For example
in Geelong The Sailors Rest and The Black Sheep are good
examples. We sample cuisine
from all over the world. If you have a favourite
restaurants you'd like us to consider please let us
know.

How do I dress for the dinners?
|
|
We will let you
know ahead of time the type of restaurant where you will
be dining. We generally suggest business casual attire.
